Guar Gum, Hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG), Guar Fiber

PHGG (Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum)

Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum (PHGG), also known as guar fiber, is a soluble dietary fiber produced through controlled enzymatic hydrolysis of guar gum. Guar gum is derived from the endosperm of guar beans (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba), primarily grown in India, Pakistan, and other arid regions.

PHGG is composed mainly of galactomannan, a polysaccharide made up of galactose and mannose. While standard guar gum is known for high viscosity and strong water-binding capacity, enzymatic hydrolysis significantly reduces viscosity. This allows PHGG to deliver high fiber content with smoother incorporation and easier formulation handling.

NFI PHGG is well suited for modern product development where fiber enrichment is needed without the high thickness normally associated with standard guar gum. It is especially useful in beverage mixes, powdered systems, stick packs, and other daily-use wellness applications.
