Maltitol is a low-calorie artificial sweetener. It is a carbohydrate. A sugar alcohol made of glucose and sorbitol. Maltitol does not promote dental cavities and has a low glycemic index, making it a diabetic-friendly food ingredient.
Zero Gylcemic index, which means no affect on blood sugar in insulin levels. It also has a caloric value = near zero.
